Cindy's first taste of Yoga was at the age of 18 after a decade of Gymnastic and Acrobatic training as a youth. Still dabbling in a variety of physicalities until her early 20's in 1996, Cindy found Ashtanga Yoga and Circus simultaneously. Finding a real affinity with both, it was a few years before a daily Yoga practice took hold and from there an innate love of the system of Ashtanga Yoga was born.
Cindy credits her inspirational Teachers over the years with her appreciation of the traditional system of Ashtanga: from the organic intelligence of her Guru Moksha (Regi Clarence) and his supportive guidance through her Teacher Training, Marc (Potts) Potter as an invaluable influence on the journey and the recent leadership of Paddy McGrath and Mark Togni, to her first teacher Gregor Maehle who set the stage for her lifelong interest in Yoga.
Cindy is committed to a dedicated meditation practice and has a particular interest in Mantra and sound vibration and the healing power it invokes.
"Finding the sangha (community) and the particular skill of Moksha in his adjustments at Yoga Om allowed me to fulfill a long held dream to share the spirit of Yoga with others and instilled a better understanding of the self that becomes surprisingly apparent when you undergo such an internal discovery process. "
"Yoga is my rock, my joy, my savior."
