Yin Yoga & Shiatsu – Nourishing Water & Earth

This practice will focus on the Water and Earth elements—the foundations of resilience, vitality, nourishment, and stability.

In TCM, the Water element, governed by the Kidney and Bladder meridians, represents our deepest reserves of energy, courage, and inner wisdom. When these meridians are nourished, we feel grounded, adaptable, and supported by a profound sense of trust. Yin postures that stimulate the Kidney and Bladder pathways help release deep-held tension while replenishing our vital essence (Jing), encouraging rest, renewal, and resilience.

The Earth element, associated with the Spleen and Stomach meridians, offers steadiness, nourishment, and a sense of being deeply rooted. It supports healthy digestion—not only of food, but also of our thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Balancing the Earth element cultivates presence, compassion, and an inner feeling of being held.

Throughout the practice, gentle Shiatsu pressure along these meridians and key acupressure points encourages the smooth flow of Qi, easing stagnation, calming the nervous system, and supporting the body’s natural capacity to heal and restore balance.

Together, Yin Yoga and Shiatsu invite you to slow down, soften, and reconnect with the quiet intelligence within. Leave feeling grounded like the Earth beneath you, nourished by the wisdom of Water, and deeply restored in body, mind, and spirit.
